Terms & conditions
By using this site, you agree to the terms and conditions below. Please do not use this site if you disagree with any of the terms and conditions.

The Cheese Hamlet is an independently owned and operated business based in Manchester, UK. As such all contracts will be made under English law and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.

General

Most of our cheeses are handmade artisanal cheeses that are subject to environmental and seasonal variances which include but not exclusive to size, colour, flavour, texture and availability. Our products are then cut and prepared in-store by hand by one of our cheesemongers, which may lead to further variances. All weights are approximate. If any products are unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute with an alternative product. We will notify you of any changes on collection.

Allergens

We hold allergen information on all the products we supply and we strive to ensure that this information is correct however we cannot be held responsible for incorrect or missing information. Most of our products are prepared in-store which does contain and handle allergens that may not be listed on the ingredients or allergen information and as such may contain traces of declarable allergens.

Collection

Orders will be prepared and be ready for collection from 9.00am on day requested and will be held for a maximum of two days afterwards. Please ensure you collect your order on the day requested. Any orders not collected will result in the loss of any deposit paid. To avoid the queues, please collect ‘click & collect’ orders from our dedicated collection point at the rear of the shop.

Pricing

All prices shown on the site are in GBP and include VAT (where applicable) at the prevailing rate. The company reserve the right to alter any prices or specifications at any time without notice and the goods will be subject to the price ruling on the day of dispatch. Any outstanding balance will be payable on collection, preferably by card payment.

Cancellation

Please contact us immediately at sales@thecheesehamlet.co.uk or 0161 434 4781 if you wish to cancel an order after it has been placed. As orders for perishable goods are actioned as soon as practicably possible after receipt, we reserve the right not to accept your cancellation request. If your cancellation request is accepted, we will arrange for any money paid to be refunded to the original payment source as soon as possible.

Returns & Refunds

As most of our products are perishable returns are usually only accepted if the supplied goods are faulty or damaged. Any request for a return or claims for a refund must be made within 24 hours or receipt of the goods. If this is by phone (0161 434 4781) a further written claim with photographic evidence must be submitted to us within 3 days to sales@thecheesehamlet.co.uk or The Cheese Hamlet, 706 Wilmslow Road, Didsbury, Manchester, M20 2DW.

Perishable items should be kept chilled, in the original packaging and returned to the shop as soon a practically possible for inspection.
